Participating in the Friendship Circles special mother retreat weekend is always an exceptional experience, and leaves me with a sense that I leave with more then I entered with.
The bond and sisterhood that can only be found with women who experience the beauty, humor, hardship, learning, wonder, judgement, tears, laughter and everything thing else that comes with being the mother of a neurodivergent person.
The location and natural beauty of the property we stayed at was top notch, as was the food and attention to every detail from spa services to sparklers.
I am always amazed, humbled and delighted to get to know the women who attend; we all come from very different backgrounds and different daily lives, and yet we create a safe space for all of us to share our feelings and experiences. Spending the retreat weekend with this dynamic intelligent group of women, having the opportunity to share, learn, sing and pray with the FC crew who organized it leaves me with a deeper connection to you all, my sisters, my family, my tribe.
